Scrawl. Scribble. Scratch - A look at Outsider Graffiti in South Africa from 2006 to 2018.
From scrawls made with sticks and stones by street dwellers and passersby, to rebellious teenagers with an urge to spray something absurd. Vulgar language and sexual innuendo, to just plain crazy people with some sort of intention. The publication showcases a collection of the random markings one finds in our urban environment - the purest form of graffiti.
Photographs by Cale Waddacor in Beaufort West, Cape Town, Durban, Grahamstown, Graskop, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, Tzaneen and beyond.
60-page, A6 zine on B&W, 180gsm semi-gloss. Saddle stitched.
